What an exciting time we live in. Some may say that it’s a time of darkness and destruction, but we know by the promptings and warnings of the Spirit that there are great days ahead. The Word of God promises that the days for the Church get brighter and brighter until a perfect day. Yet, it also warns us that surroundings will become darker and darker. Isn’t it amazing that God can deliver a people right in the middle of chaos and make things better for them.
One of the ways He does this is by giving revelation knowledge. Revelation knowledge isn’t something that is revealed by information alone. It is something “seen” by the inner man when information and the Holy Spirit work together to bring illumination. Revelation that God is working into the Body of Christ right now is an understanding of their authority as representatives for Him
Jesus gave us a clue about authority when He said in Matthew 28:18-20 that all authority was given to Him so we can go in His stead and change the world. The word authority here is not speaking of power and ability, but rather jurisdiction or the right to act. Jurisdiction is the official power to make legal decisions and judgments. This tells us that not only did Jesus have the power to act, He also had the right to use that power as He chose.
As believers we have been sent in His jurisdiction to act as He did, meaning that whatever is operating illegally we have the right to change it. Jurisdiction is about legal grounds so any demonic force influencing is acting illegally. We have the authority to put a stop to anything that isn’t favorable to the will of God. Mark 16:15-18 tells us some of the things that we have the right to do: preach, cast out demons, speak with tongues, heal the sick, etc. If we will act under His jurisdiction, He will send the power to accomplish the breakthrough.
It is not a time to cower back at opposition and be intimated by circumstances. It is the time to rise up in the authority that He gave us and act like we are His representatives in the earth. He gave us His name which is comparable to a blank check for spiritual power. He’s already defeated the enemy and we need to enforce that victory. We are made for much more than we currently know, but let’s start taking what we already know and use it for the Kingdom of God. Let’s be Kingdom Enforcers.
Be blessed and be strong,
